- So far, I have learned that Twitter is a great tool for some, but not for everyone. Personally, I am not a fan because I don't use social media to post something every single day. I use social media more to let people know how I'm doing maybe once a month or every few months. I have struggled to find stuff to post two times a week because it's boring to just post quotes, we have to do more than only retweet, and I don't have anything remotely interesting to say to my follows. On the other hand, I have learned that it would be a great tool for a classroom. Students can keep in touch with their teacher while they aren't in school and teachers could use it to spread information to their students quickly and efficiently.
- I loved creating my web page, but much like the newsletter assignment, it was very time consuming. I am familiar with building websites, but a lot of information had to be added to this one and I am not familiar with adding information to web pages. It also took me a while to find quality, free pictures to add to my website. But because of these struggles, I was able to build my patience and learn something new. It taught me that I have to add a new text box or title box for every piece of text added to the page. I also learned how to rearrange text boxes, size pictures, adjust the cover photos at the top of every subsection, and what color text looks best on what background (although my introduction page title does blend in with the background a slight bit). I liked how you are able to customize EVERYTHING. You can really make it your own and I like that. At the same time, that makes it more time consuming. I think the best characteristic a teacher can find on a website building page is ease and I'm not sure that this is the easiest site to use in order to build their class site. I think that after the first time their building their website, it will be easier all of the following times. Next time, I don't really know what I could do differently. I am pretty familiar with it by now so I don't have to re-learn anything next time. Websites are a great tool for teachers to use because it allows them to distribute a lot of information to as many people as they need to. For instance, teachers can post attachments to field trip forms (like I did) or they can post homework assignments for students that were absent. They can communicate to all parents at once and provide enough detailed information to prevent an extreme influx of emails from parents.

- From my experience with Diigo, I have learned how to quickly pick out the information that is important from a website. I know this is a pretty basic skill, but not really one I have used recently. It has made me more mindful of finding information that might also be useful to others. I think it can be a wonderful asset to teachers and to students because it allows them to communicate as a group, just like with Twitter. Students can use Diigo to share information with each other that might help them understand a lesson presented in the classroom and they can also use it to share websites that they would use for a group project. Teachers can do the same for their students and this allows teachers to use technology to engage their students in whatever topic they're learning. It also allows teachers to communicate educational material with their coworkers and other educators.
