- One application that teachers can use for their Personal Learning Network is The Teaching Channel. Teachers can use this tool to view videos of other teachers teaching in a classroom, communicate with other teachers, and also share lesson plans with other teachers. These tools are available for teachers of the same areas to use, but The Teaching Channel also allows teachers from all levels communicate through a Q&A Forum. The site is free for teachers to use.

- Another application that I think would be beneficial for teachers to use for their PLN is LinkedIn. It's extremely professional and I think that it would be good for teachers to communicate. Not only are teachers able to view other teacher's profiles, but they are able to have their profiles viewed by possible future employers, etc. It is also free for teachers to use.

I have never heard of the teaching channel but it sounds like a great source. Having a visual rather than just reading a post is very helpful to many people and I think it would be incredibly helpful for many teachers to be able to see how others are doing something different than they may have originally thought. The Q&A portion is also very helpful so that specific questions can actually be answered rather than just trying to figure it out.
